Medusa Pattern Request

Hello,
I would be very grateful if someone would assist me in making a pattern from the attached picture..
I was thinking
18 ct for more detail and in
15"x18" size although I'm newer to cross stitch and open to ideas
I tried to make this myself in the KG-Chart software but no matter how high the colors I set I still got very bland tones, I am really looking for the gold jewelry/snakes/lips to appear as true to color in the picture. I would be very grateful for any help you can give me
I realize this is not a "sprite" but hopefully someone will lend me a hand. If anyone can make this into a pattern I would be very appreciative for a
PDF file

Hi! That is a wonderful picture, reminds me of Chris Achilleos paintings

Anyway, do you by any chance still have the KGChart pattern you made? I'd like to check it over for you, if it's not what you're after I would be happy to make you a pattern from scratch!

Yes, Chris Achilleos is the one who painted this!
I scrapped the KG-Chart pattern because I was so frustrated (sorry), I would be very grateful if you made one for me
Unfortunately I cannot open the .sth files (i'm not sure why? it says an appropriate program can't be found to open the file yet I can make patterns etc in the software??) would you be able to provide a pdf?
Sorry for all the work i'm causing but I can't thankyou enough!!

Hehe, thought I recognised the style!
OK it's no problem, but I do have a couple of questions for you.
Do you want the background left in or removed? And do you have a preference to how many colours you want in the image?

Hello,
I guess I did save it on KG-Chart.. Here it is so you can review it. I'm new at this so i'm not sure if I made it correctly, although I did my best.
If you can remove the background that would be great, otherwise it's no big deal if it remains in
As for colors I would prefer as many as possible to keep it true to the picture!
Since you are more experienced, do you feel 18 ct and the 15"x18" canvas size I listed before seems adequate for this picture?

Wow, the pattern you made is huge! I think maybe a little too large since you say you are fairly new to the cross stitching!

15x18" on 18 ct would make the image roughly half the size it is now (in pixels) and that's not a bad thing. You don't lose too much detail that way, but it's still a pretty large image to stitch. That's the kind of size I would have chosen myself!
So, I've done a pattern based on that for you, I hope it's ok. I did limit the colours somewhat. I thought that 300+ might be a little crazy, so I tweaked it down to just under 100! I've also done my best to try and make the colours quite bold but please do check your threads in real life before you stitch!

Please have a look, see what you think. If you need any more work doing to it, come back and I'll be happy to help out some more!

Wow I love it! Thank you so much for your help! I was wondering though if increasing the color palette would make the snakes vary a little more in color/tone? What are your thoughts on this - maybe i'm just not used to seeing such a large pattern and it will all come together? I absolutely love love everything else, you are such a doll!

Increasing the colour palette will affect the whole image, and may not even touch the snakes! Would probably have to add some extra colours in manually.
You may find that when the actual stitching is being done that it looks better than the image (this is usually the case with my large patterns

) but if you like I'll have a poke around in the pattern and see what can be done!
