Sprite Stitch Board!

Hi everyone,

I have this great noticeboard with frames around it which I would love to fill with stitched things but I need some help to think about what to actually put in them.

Originally I was going to fill it with kokeshi-style dolls, one for each month, but was struggling getting a pattern small enough.

I don't need actual patterns (yet ), but each frame is 1.5x2inches, there are 8 horizontal and 4 vertical frames.

I'm quite open to any ideas, as long as they are colourful, somewhat girly or cute (my whole room is pink and it just wouldn't look right otherwise ) apart from that they can be game based, manga based, anime based, disney based, anything you can think of!!!!

Any input is greatly greatly appreciated (below are some pictures of the board itself to help out )

You could put the snes mariokart sprites going around in a circle. But then again, that might not be entirely girly.

Or, of course, pacman!

You could fill it with your choice of "across the ages" stages of your favorite character/game.

If you have any particular favorite game in mind, that can always be arranged too! The symmetry and shapes of the frame itself offers up a lot of ways to fit in almost any set of sprites. For instance, take Yoshi's Island for the SNES. I would do the 8 different colored Yoshi's in 8 horizontal frames (I love Yoshi!), and a mixture of baby Mario and enemies in the vertical ones.

I want that cork board/frame!

Hi everyone,

i'm still trying to think of something to do for this frame.

Decided that whatever I do will involve needing smaller count aida, so if anyone knows where to get some please let me know.

Thought about doing something either from my favourite cartoons or manga as I'm not a massive fan of any one particular game.

Also the cork board was from TK Maxx so if you look there you'll probably find something similar.

That is a fab frame (I suspect I'll end up looking for one in my local TK Maxx). Can't wait to see what you do with it!
