Crona (Soul Eater) Pattern Request

Hello! I've been attempting to make this image into a pattern, but I've been having terrible luck. Anytime I try and clean it up, it comes out looking a bit weird (Especially around the eyes, mouth, and blushy bits). I was wondering if anyone more experienced would be willing to give it a shot? Ideally I'd like to keep it within a 5-10in (wide) range, but if it needs to go larger to look okay, I'm good with that. Thank you so much!
