Black Rock Shooter & Dead Master Shadows

I am trying to make these patterns, and I would like them to be close to the same size, 8 x 10, if possible without taking away detail (ie, Dead Master's bow, Black Rock Shooter's Star..) but these patterns come out to be like, 2 feet wide!
I am using 14 ct aida.
