Awesome Ashtar!
I'm trying to finish up Miyagi's face before posting another update, but should be soon.

Got my cloth so I was able to start with the color I have...black. LOL! Here's a few hours of work. And I got to finally use one of my Christmas presents!

I'm so excited to join my first challenge here! I only started cross stitching a few months ago, and I'm not very fast yet, but I hope I can finish my idea!

Nice work Nate! It looks awesome!
I have a pattern worked out for mine and have all the colors to do it. I hope I can get it done. And I hope it counts as a portrait. Technically, it's not from the shoulders up, it's the whole thing as it's an enemy from one of my current favorite games, and it's small.... Kinda hard to determine shoulders up on a bird...

...I lied. But only because I had to redo the whole thing. I found a section that was off by enough that it had to come out but it turns out that pulling 32 count stitches out is next to impossible! So I took the chance and reduced the colors by a lot, so now you get a WIP shot. I think I'm about 1/3 of the way done.kuja.girl wrote:min'es almost done so no WIP shots - only when it's done :)

Over 14 hours spent on his face alone, and somehow it don't look right, even my mom thinks he looks kinda odd.

Re: JAN/FEB Challenge - Portraits!
I would have posted a WIP last night but I started stitching at about 7:30pm and around midnightish I realized I was off a row and when I finally figured out where I got off it was the second row I'd started that night so ALL my work up to that point had to be taken out. I got about a third of it redone and it was 3:30am.
