Re: APRIL Stitch-a-Long - Samplers

The Streets of Rage sprites come from The Spriters Ressource site ; and the Layton ones are from the Sprite Stitch Wiki (designed by Arda_Ancalima)
Do you like them QueenBex, or did you expect something else ?

The Layton one is awesome! I tried, but couldn't get anything I liked. Great job!

Ah! My BF just started playing this game. I think I'll have to do this on a bookmark for him. Awesome!kuja.girl wrote:Finished my second design - Journey on the PS3 (2012)...

Those are awesome! Thanks La Ptite Bete! Perfect! When I saw the layton one I did think that it would make a good quote band too! If you only stitch one of the characters then put in a quote of your choice!
Really love the streets of rage one, brings back memories of playing with my brother and the times our characters got too close and ended up in a headlock or some other strange embrace which we couldn't get out of until we found we could do a combined attack like that... And he always stole the items, so its not my fault if my character sometimes slapped his...

I'm glad you like them
I didn't thought of the quotes possibility, it's a great idea too !!
I've never played Streets of Rage... I hadn't console video game systems when I was younger (the Nintendo Game Boy was my first console !) ; we had computers
so I used to play some (Super Mario, Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, Sonic...) when I went to my friends houses (on SEGA Master System, Mega Drive, and a little bit of NES !). So great memories ! Sometimes I want to buy some of these old consoles, but I'm afraid I won't be alble to play again ; on a large TV screen... I'll be like that :

I have very similar memories of that game with my brother. In fact, we still play Streets of Rage 20+ years on! Along with regular Golden Axe sessions.QueenBex wrote:Really love the streets of rage one, brings back memories of playing with my brother and the times our characters got too close and ended up in a headlock or some other strange embrace which we couldn't get out of until we found we could do a combined attack like that... Hey all- newbie here...
I've been visiting the board for months now, and just decided to join because I've been sitting on the idea of doing a sampler, and I was so inspired by the bands that were posted here that I had to try my hand at making some patterns.
Sooo I know folks were looking for other than Mario and Zelda, but Yoshi's Island is one of my top three favorite games, and after trying unsuccessfully to make a Donkey Kong Country one, I present my first two hand generated patterns. My own sampler that I eventually make will be mostly Mario. That said, I am happy to contribute to the bands even if I'm the only one who uses them. Y'all are very inspiring..
