Hey everyone!

I have been out of the cross stitching game for several years now (I think the last time I cross stitched was when I was about fifteen or so, and now I'm 28!), but this past summer I decided to get back into it. I started off small with my Mario cross stitch, and then decided to tackle the black and white version of Link found on this site! It isn't fantastic, but for being out of the game for a while, I think I did okay!

Here are some of my Christmas presents I'll be working on. I am doing small cross stitches of Mario characters. When my husband and I do tabletop game night, we usually use Mario chess pieces, so I'm doing everyone their piece. There will be Yoshi, a Magikoopa, Mario, Peach, and Luigi (I'm Daisy, but I won't be doing one for myself). Here is what I have so far!

So after a couple of days of working on the magikoopa, I found the colors ended up being really wonky from the original picture. I didn't really have time to match colors, so I had to go to my plan B! The friend that was getting the magikoopa is now getting a lakitu! His character in the tabletop game is one, so I think it's a fitting replacement for the magikoopa! Here it is! I found the pattern on the old version of SpriteStitch, found here http://spritestitch.wordpress.com/2007/ ... -patterns/. Next up is Mario!
