My Little Pony project

Hey all - long time reader, first time poster.
Not too long ago, I was taking a break from life and spending some quality time with my ailing grandfather. He's on dialysis, so while he was at his appointments I needed something to do! That's where stitching came along. The first and last time I had done it was when I was about 5, so to relearn it took me about 2 small pieces, maybe 6 square inches each. After that I was ready to jump into what I really wanted to do, a tribute piece.
I'm a big fan of My Little Pony and I'm a big fan of merchandise, so I was totally hooked when Enterplay put out a line of trading cards. I've gotten to hang out with them since, and they're cool people, so I decided to make something for them. The piece I designed was a stitched version of their Bronycon exclusive Rarity card, and this is how it began...
A blank slate, with rough edge marks based on the size of the pattern.
It's 18 count 15"x18"
The first corner!
More hair outlining
Hair outline, DMC 550, finished and body outline, 318, begun
And this is how it sits currently!
This is probably my fifth stitching ever, so I don't think it's too bad haha. I've got about 200 hours into this so far. Thanks for looking, I'm eager to share more!
EDIT: Oops, resized images so you can actually see them!
