Ok, I get it...Im a freak! Lol! But my reason for running black outlines all over the shop was because I didnt have alot of money to start this, so I got the main colours which was black and the background blue just to get me started, while the other half got me the canvass!

End of the day...results are the same!

In case any of you thought I'd given up on this project. I haven't. ^^ School and work has been trying to do me in. A word from the wise full time in both is never good. I have found some time to work on it and lo! I have found edges to this thing.

Everyone has been getting so far in this. :pika It's very encouraging.

Is that a Q snap frame you have there? Are they any good?

To be honest I'm not sure what frame it is. I got it from my grandma because she can no longer cross stitch. I find it is easier to keep the aida taught with it, if I can get it taught in the first place. All I have to do is twist the snap in parts and voila, my cloth is tight again. I'm also finding it is easier to use then an embroidery hoop for this large project. Mostly because I can rest it against the stand that Grandma sent up with it.

Edit: After looking it up I do believe it is a Q snap frame. Mine doesn't have that fancy stand though. Just a wooden one that I think Grandma made.

Does it work without the stand, or does it have to be used with it?

I've been using it without the stand well at least not properly. I use my stand to rest the top part of the frame because it feels a little top heavy.

Ah, thank you. I've been thinking about getting one.

And sorry to the other people of this thread who had to listen to this. :P
