I've heard of tea-dying before, but I've only ever seen it done/thought to do it with black tea. I'd never have thought to use fruit tea (even though I've usually got a selection of several at home!)

The swirly pink in the background of the gingerbread house gives it so much texture! I have a lot of tea and light colored aida that just screams for me to try this.....

Definitely let us see the blueberry once it is done!

So this is the blueberry tea. I thought it would have been darker, and it was...... until it dried...

I love the idea of tea-dyeing, but does it run if you wash your stitching? Is it colour fast?

so far i have not had any colors run... i make sure to rinse them out well when they are finished.

this one actually sat in tea for about 12 hours.. i dont think it is going to get any darker..

its a very interesting grey purple color i might just like it more after i stitch something on it.

some new things i have been working on. Of course I finished my quilt square i had a blast with it and plan on stitching it again to hang on my wall.
