You are braver than I am...that looks like a lot of counting! (I have had a number of projects where my counting got messed up
)

Re: 3ft by 3ft Zelda Light World Map - updated January 10/16
I've been seeing someone new... He's AMAZING and he's super supportive. Lots of stitching getting done now...and I even taught the new man to cross stitch
I'm now living out of country in the USA now...so different !! Please check out new progress shots!
This is epic...if I do say so my self... First line up of the two panels

Re: A proud day for my giant Zelda map!!!!! - update 2/10/16
So I have been putting in alot...alot...allllllot of hours !!! Stitching and reading are all that keep me sane lately.
My bf helped me build new scroll rails for my frame a week or two ago which has made for a tighter frame. Super happy.
Today I pulled it off the frame to get a full unrolles picture update and here it is!!
I'm feeling awesome as I knew I did lots but unrolling it really made me realize just how much!
So for s&g I decided to line up finished panel A with working panel b.....here's my moment of EXTREME pride!!!
I'm so excited!!!! It looks pretty dang amazing if I can brag for a second or two !!!
Yay!!

OMG! That's awesome! It looks wonderful and I'm proud for you for doing that much! That's a lot of hours.
I also wanted to comment on how ingenious attaching the aida to the rods was. I also have a scroll frame and am not totally happy on how it's attached. How do you attach the extra pieces of fabric? Because it looks like you sewed aida and extra material together, but idk about material to rod. Thanks so much and excellent job!

Hey !
Thanks everyone for the kind words !
As for rails....simple and cheap! I got an old pair of jeans and used that for fabric for strength !
I got the man to heavy staple fabric to the rails.... Which we bought and he cut to length....
Thennnn I big stitched the Aida to denim boom !!
Based on the original "scroll frames" I grew up with but was unable to find while starting this project! I had split rails for panel a and it drove me nuts !

It's looking fantastic! I love the panel idea to keep a big piece manageable. I've been toying with the idea of a really big project, but I'm gun shy because I don't know how to assemble the panels. What's your plan for putting them all together?
