Happy New Year! (projects from last year)

Post by kaelemerald »

Since we start a new year soon, and I haven't posted in about a year I figured I should probably post the two pieces I completed. I know that's not much but other things got in the way *ahem* video games.. *ahem*

Apparently this year I was all about Servotron's patterns:

First, his Cucco Avalanche! Pattern: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=411

I messed up when I started it and began too far to the left. I stitch from right to left because I'm left handed so my measurements aren't always the best. Anyway, because of that I had to cut off a good chunk of the pattern to make it fit on the piece of aida.

Annnnddd his Mario and Peach pattern: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1824

With this one I decided I didn't like some of the colors that were chosen so I changed them, then after I had stitched Mario and Peach as shown in the pattern above I decided I wanted it to have a background and look like a picture hanging on the wall. So, for lack of anything really creative I pulled the sky from Servo's Mario through the ages which I have stitched in the past and made it the sky of this piece. ^.^ If you decide to do the same one day, I would change the coloring of the sky. It kinda blends with their skin tone but I didn't notice until I was pretty far in to the sky and refused to unpick and restitch all of it.

These are both so awesome! I love the colors and the LOZ makes me giggle.
That which does not kill me shall regret ever having tried.
