countingpulses - Current Project: Pokemon Through The Ages
I haven't done any cross stitching in a long time, but I decided to pick it up again. I'm working on Pokemon Through The Ages.

- Second session. I removed some of the gridding and started with the beloved 310. I completed all the half stitches on page 1 that goes across the whole piece.

I've seen that done before with washable marker, what made you choose to use thread for your grids instead?

I, like Countingpulses, use thread grids on my large projects. For me it's because there's no chance of it fading before you're finished or causing discolouration when you try to wash it out. Some of the washable pens can leave a residue after washing which becomes visible again after time.mbiogirlumd wrote:I've seen that done before with washable marker, what made you choose to use thread for your grids instead?
Current projects: 'Heroes' sketch, experiments with surface embroidery.
