A pattern thiefs tribute to Johloh

Post by jelibe »

I've been on these forums since you've created them (I really loved your blog firstly). When you gave me the honor of pattern thief, I been looking to do something with it ever since. At last I found a way. A thank you to a great cross stitcher and blogger. Thank you Johloh, you FANTASTIC.

I used to just work on kit's until I discovered this site and realized the wonder of making my own patterns. I've been doing my own stuff for months now and I doubt I'll ever pick up one of those kits again.

When I first started cross stitching I did a couple of kits from magazines, but I don't like most of the designs in them (flowers and boring stuff). I came across Johloh's blog when I was looking for sprites to maybe stitch. I loved it straight away and made a few of the patterns on here (hence the pattern thief logo - a little joke). I do love cross stitching from patterns I find on the web and on here and I make my own now too. I've not done a kit in years. My own craft kit is all I need with all my essentials (and bits of fluff and rubbish). It's not big enough to fit my laptop in though (I'm thinking of making a laptop pattern thief bag, but I'm not the only one who uses it!!).
