Kareesh & BMH -- Thank you. *hugs*
I would love an eventual sprite stitch convention/ meet up. I'd actually crawl out from under my rock to go. Just day dreaming here but I think it might be interesting for everyone to work on 1 massive project together. Don't get me wrong the quilts are amazing. I was just thinking along the lines of a giant tapestry of video games. Hopefully that isn't too confusing... I may need more caffeine.

Thanks for the kind comments guys! Group hug!!!
Lets call an end to that conversation about charity shall we and move on...
hmmm....
The next Drink and Draw is on Tuesday and the theme is dinosaurs, I can't draw dinosaurs!!!! Should I practise and take along some pictures on the night perhaps, or should I go and order a couple of ciders to 'help' my drawing skills?

Yes, group hugs! Everyone on here is so awesome.

I wish I had the chance to take that course! I've actually never heard of the instructor, which is kind of surprising because anti-trafficking is a narrow field. She sounds amazing and I hope she teaches another session of it next semester.MeiTow wrote:Also, RMDC - Thought this might interest you - https://www.coursera.org/course/humantrafficking

My level of Geekdom:
I was in the company break room where there is a TV with a news channel on 24/7.
I was snarking brownies from a left over catered lunch for someone else in the company.
I was casually watching the TV, and gasped audibly (with a full mouth of brownie) as I read the ticker on the bottom of the screen:
DOCTOR WHO CONTRACTED EBOLA WHILE...
And my mind is racing: "OMG! Which one? Matt Smith? David Tennant? What happened? How did Doctor Who get Ebola?!"
It took me more then a moment to realize what it actually was saying was :
The doctor, who contracted ebola, while in Africa, was flown to a hospital in Nebraska.

Re: Neutral Thread, or ~ML
Today has me just plain confused. This morning in class, I was thinking some... let's just say not very good thoughts. Then I went to compounding lab and totally rocked everything. I get back to my apartment, and this douchewaddle has messaged me on FB, telling me that he just really wants to talk to me and he has no one else he can talk to. I immediately send messages to my friend and bf, asking them to help remind me not to respond (because this guy was the source of some major drama a while ago).
I was doing well with the not answering, until he saw that I had read his message and sent another one, pleading. He even used my real name instead of my screen name, which is what he's more used to using. So I ended up talking with him for a while. Told him I'm still mad at him. But how can a girl know what to say when a guy professes his love for her on the internet? I told him he only thinks he knows me, that I'm really quite the bitch. Instead of deterring him, I only got more proclamations of how much he loves me and other such nonsense.
I just don't know what to do. I can't seem to stay strong and not answer, not when someone is begging for my help.
Plus, I really don't have many people who talk to me on a daily basis, so the prospect of adding another is very exciting.
(If you're in the States and you want a texting buddy, send me a PM! I'm really good at the random.)

If you can't not say yes, and you really don't want to talk to him, then you need to not see the pleas. Blocking works. You should consider using that feature.Mishatu wrote: I just don't know what to do. I can't seem to stay strong and not answer, not when someone is begging for my help.

Of course we don't know the whole story, but it sounds to me like you know he's not good for you. I know this has been said many times before, but I've definitely lived it: It's better to be alone than to be in a bad relationship. Listen to your instinct. We're all here for you! You're never really alone.
