1) American Gods by Neil Gaiman
2) The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett (Although if I had to pick one, I would probably pick Thud!)
3) Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
4) The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester
5) Bone by Jeff Smith

Re: Top 5 Favourite...Books!
Decided to challenge myself and not count a series as one point and only chose individual books.
Though as a result they are not numbered
- Catching Fire (While the The Hunger Games was GOOD. The second book just had something much more riveting and mysterious about it. I couldn't put it down.
- The Lord of the Rings (This isn't a trilogy. The publishers just made Tolkien release it that way as they felt a 1k word fantasy novel would be a hard sell.)
- Howl's Moving Castle (Didn't even know it WAS a book till months after the anime, but it's wonderful and whimsical.)
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (I can't really pinpoint why this book is my favorite in the series, it just is.)
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (If you enjoy British humor and sci-fi, then why haven't you read this yet?!!)

Re: Top 5 Favourite...Books!
I work in a book shop and this list is impossible! Top 10 mmmaaayyybbbeeee...... Can we do top 5 by genre/type? lol
The only one I can say for 100% is my all time favourite author
- Tamora Pierce (primarily 'Magic in the Weaving' and her Alanna books)
I have read Magic in the Weaving more times than I can count. It is my ultimate comfort/go-to book.

Re: Top 5 Favourite...Books!
I used to love Tamora Pierce back in the day! I loved the 'Song of the Lioness' quartet, I used to borrow it from my school library at least once a month!

Her Alanna, and Daine series are my go-to books when I have nothing to read.
