Favourite Bad Guys
Some of my friends were telling me how good the bad guy (Javier Bardem) is in the new Bond film. I saw it last night, and all I could think was he reminds me of Tim Curry, but wasn't as good. This got me to thinking about some of the really good bad guys, and I made a short list of some of my favourites
Alan Rickman (Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Die Hard)
Tim Curry (It, Criminal Minds)
Robert Knepper (Prison Break, Hitman)
Agent Smith from the matrix
Bowser
Who are your favourite bad guys?

Not in any order
Alan Rickman (Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, Snape) I hope they find all the lost footage of him in RH and put it all back in.

Cillian Murphy ( In Time, Inception, The Dark Knight )
Tom Cruise ( Collateral, Interview with a Vampire )

If you're going to include Tim Curry in your list, you must add Legend to the list of movies. Best Lord of Darkness ever!

Haha! Very true statement, though.Icelandic Hitman wrote:Sean Bean ( 98% of his things )
Heath Ledger as the Joker is probably my favorite of all of them. It was so out of his norm as an actor and he did such a great job with that role. Still so very sad he died
The rest are not in any particular order:
Alan Rickman in Die Hard...not sure I really count Snape as a bad guy since he wasn't really bad. Or maybe that's what makes him a great bad guy?
Gary Oldman (Book of Eli, 5th Element)
Tobin Bell (Jigsaw in the Saw series)
GLaDOS (Portal)
V.I.K.I. (I, Robot)
Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort in HP, Hades in Clash/Wrath of the Titans

Re: Favourite Bad Guys
How has no one said Darth Vader yet???
I don't know how well you could consider this one to be a bad guy, but Jeffrey Jones as Ed Rooney in 'Ferris Buellers' Day Off'. He was borderline psychotic and I loved it!
Ian McKellen as Magneto.
Michael Madsen as Mr. Blonde in 'Reservoir Dogs'.
Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter. He's played the role a few times but I think my favourite was in 'Silence of the Lambs'.
And my absolute favourite.....Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes in 'Misery'. That woman is brilliant!

Re: Favourite Bad Guys
This was a really hard list to make, but here it goes!
Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)
Ralph Fiennes (In Bruge, Red Dragon, Schindlers List)
GLaDOS (portal)
Hugo Weaving (V for Vendetta, Cloud Atlas)
So Im not sure if Hugo Weaving really counts since he was only kind of a bad guy/antihero in those movies, but I'll put him anyway

He's definitely the bad guy in the Matrix Trilogy! And let's face it, Elrond is totally just waiting to go evil.Siva wrote: So Im not sure if Hugo Weaving really counts since he was only kind of a bad guy/antihero in those movies, but I'll put him anyway

Re: Favourite Bad Guys
Handsome Jack (Borderlands 2) - The guy who voiced him has truly gotten 'arrogant douchebag' down to an art. Plus I've never laughed so damn hard. I think therefore that this is my favorite bad guy ever now.
GLaDOS (Portal) - Is just awesome.
Zorg (5th Element) - One of Gary Oldman's finest roles I think. One of the many where it's possible you don't really know it's Gary Oldman until someone tells you it is. My husband and I refer to this as 'Gary Oldman level of acting'
Lucas Lee (Scott Pilgrim) - Once again Gary Oldman level of acting as it took literally 2 days to convince my husband that Lucas Lee and Captain America were the same actor. He still doesn't truly believe it.
The Master (Dr. Who) - John Simm rocked this role. Rocked it.
