I am going to try to do a couple squares for the charity quilt this year if I can and would like to do these two images.

*Edited 7/11 14:34pm to remove old images before posting my newer ones.

Just looking at these images, they look really big and detailed to turn out nicely in a 96x96 pixel layout. Also, the second image has a lot of the same tones and not a lot of contrast, there are only so many thread colours and I don't see that translating well either. You may have to find something smaller or at least with better contrast for it to work out well.

I was actually thinking about this last night and I found 2 new images to use. For the size of the cross stitch, I think the two above are too large and would need a larger area to be done justice. I am working on altering the new images a bit before posting them.

One of the new images I picked is ready for conversion. This one should be much easier to convert. It is already sized to the 6 x 6 inch requirements as before. Colors aren't an issue and it will be done on 16 ct. Aida.

I will post the other in a bit after I fix the background to be a solid color.

Here is my new 2nd image.

Image

The background isn't one solid color as I couldn't seem to part with the idea that she is outside on her first trek or a long journey that is almost over, so I realize there are probably a lot of colors in this, but I am not worried about that. This image like the one above is already scaled to the 6 x 6 inch requirements for the charity quilt and will be done on 16 ct. Aida.

Thank you in advance for your help with the converting of both of these images!

Why 16? Is is better? I've never used anything but 14 in all my time cross stitching, so I am curious...

We require 16ct for the quilt so that the 96x96 finished square will be 6x6" :D

Ok.. I altered the Undead Rogue image again and managed to get it to work well in KG Chart. The Gnome Mage has been altered a few times since I posted it and it's still not working well.. I might have to change images again... Sometimes it's so frustrating to find good images...
