Ocarina of Time Throw Blanket Help

So after squeeing in front of the returned Walmart cross stitch section (DMC for 30 cents!), I picked out a nice little "cross stitch afghan". The only thing is I'm having trouble finding good scenes/items to use for it. I want a Zelda blanket, this much I know.
Here's the stitching areas:
Center: 18.5" x 28"
Corners: 5"x5"
Top and Bottom strip: 5" x 18"
Side strips: 5" x 28"
I was thinking of doing the OOT overworld map that you find in the item subscreen:

But this is way too huge and very pixelated. So then I thought of gridding out the middle instead of doing one big thing, a bunch of little scenes and stitch borders around them.
So I would like you guys to throw ideas at me please. I don't mind things from other games (I can also take things from Majora's Mask/Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword). I just need some juice to get started on putting it together.

Yeah, I saw that on there, but I'm not sure I want to do the whole map, I wanted some other ideas too, though that pattern does look nice, your stuff always comes out very well. The problem is that everything in the game comes in threes, so the four corners are annoying me. I want the corner items to relate to one another, and I'm not sure what to do.

Sharayah I wanted to ask if you saw Walmart had all the dmc thread in there. I noticed my local Walmart store has cross stitch kits and some of the thread in the store. Today I noticed they had a couple pieces of material in plastic clear containers. walmart had it where the greeting cards and party stuff was at.

I'll have to check if my WM put any cross stitch stuff back. I know our fabric aisle is just one scrunched into a tiny space, but maybe I'll try looking at the craft section. Hrm....

They JUST brought the cross stitch stuff back to my WM, and they had the regular selection of DMC stuff, a bit smaller than what Hobby Lobby can give you, but still decent. They had aida fabric, and the rest of their stuff kit-wise was Janlynn brand. Their other thread selection was J&P Coats. I can't find a conversion chart for that brand to convert to DMC though.

For the corners, from majoras mask, you could use the mask remains from the temple bosses. What's the fabric count of the afgan?

I actually found that conversion chart, but all the numbers I have on my floss aren't in that chart, it's really weird. All of my threads start with zero, and when I put the number in to find it, it's not found. >_> So I'm not sure if they've re-done their thread counts or something. For example, 00133 is not on that chart.

Oooh, good idea, that's the only "four" I can think of too. And the fabric is a very odd 19 count.
As for OOT stuff I've found, I discovered a game someone was making a long time ago called OOT 2d with LTTP sprites. Just google Ocarina of time 2d in images, and you'll get some of the older screenshots. Some of the sprites used are pretty cool.

That is odd. Here's my idea: from majoras mask, the four corners be the remains masks, in the center put clock town and in the side strips elements of the four areas. Ex. Great bay, background of water, zoras, beavers, gerudos, seahorses, turtle, etc. It would mean a blanket from majoras mask instead of Oot or other games but it's a thought.
