I think the idea works well. I like them.

What will you do with them? Frame them or put them with the rest of the carpet?

technicly it isn't made of carpet, its the stuff you would lay down under the carpet

And I probably will frame/hang them up

That's UnderLay! (I always say that in some strange mexican voice in my head!) that would be easier that carpet itself.
