POLL: What is your favourite reason to craft?

Most of the time (especially cross stitching) I don't really need a reason. I just do it because I enjoy it. I also feel more inspired when it's for something, either a charity, challenge, or a gift.

I don't need a reason to craft really, other than I like doing it. I also chose "personal challenge" as I like to try new ideas out and push my creative limits.

I don't really need a reason. I should have picked other instead of personal challenge, though, as I use my stitching as my own personal therapy. It keeps me from feeling depressed to keep my hands busy.

I craft because it gives me a creative outlet. So much of what I have been doing is dry and technical, craft lets me use my creativity and end up with a finished product at the end as well. I found I was a lot happier at uni once I picked up stitching again, and crafting in lectures actually helped my concentration a lot - not fidgeting or daydreaming any more.

When I craft I like to make things for other people, but why I craft is becuase its really good for my mental health. And because its fun

I went for "I don't need a reason" but it could have been other, so here it is: because I want to. Exciting, I know.

Pretty much all of my crafting is for charity or more gifts...really hard to work on projects for myself!

I did don't need a reason and other. My other is I make all sorts of cards, but lots of parchment cards, and I get pestered by my friends for some. So my other is because I'm pestered and sell my craft items.

I don't need a reason and also the charity quilt squares were my choices. When I am watching tv, I will sit and cross stitch while I am doing it as long as I have a printed pattern or am just filling in with a solid color in a large area. I also will listen to the radio or an audiobook while I stitch too. I craft because I like to as so many others have said.
