Craft Hackers is up and running!

So technically the launch date is Monday but I am giving a preview to everyone at the convention this weekend so I only felt right that I give a preview to all of my loved Sprite Stitchers as well.

The site's purpose is two fold. The first is to embrace and promote crafting in all of it's forms. It isn't just geeky crafting, but all of crafting in any genre. The blog on the main page will feature awesome crafts, tutorials, helpful hints, interviews, upcoming conventions, etc. This is a site for everyone that enjoys crafts in any forms. The second reason is the one that I polled a lot of you about, the support.

You can also become a Craft Hacker yourself. As those of you that have sold your crafts know, it can be really hard and a lot of times you figure things out by trial and error. As I say on the website:

Starting your own crafting business

How to set up and maximize a table at a convention

As well as other benefits including a private area on the forums with helpful guides, use of the Craft Hackers name to increase awareness of your business, and partnering with other Craft Hackers at conventions to share costs.

For a limited time as an introductory offer membership is just $8 USD a month or $80 USD a year. When you purchase a membership, the price will always stay the same for you even if the price increases for new members. If you cancel your membership and join again the membership cost will change to the most current price. There is no commitment and you can cancel your membership anytime, even after just one month. If you decide to cancel, you just need to stop the recurring payments.

Basically you get me and other professionals that have been doing this for years holding your hand. I also help you get into conventions, use of the name at conventions, and help with how to set up your table. If I am in the area, I will also come to the convention and help you set up and sell. I know the $8 seems low, but that is because this is brand new and I want to amass my army first. Trust me, the price will definitely be going up in a couple months.

Thanks Eliste! I hired a fantastic graphic designer (who in turn has joined Craft Hackers) that helped me with a lot of the layout and color choices. I am so proud of the final site!
