Ok - even with spring cleaning cutting in to my stitching time I've managed to get this far. I've also been training for a 10k which is this Saturday so I want to finish the final arrow before then.

I love Lileya's SNES band, but it's slightly too big for the top edge of my fabric (I didn't think about having a border when I started >_<) so I made this modified one that's just slightly smaller, and a DDR border as well. The yellow arrow pattern is the code you had to put into a 3rd mix machine to put it in SSR mode (difficult), and the blue arrow pattern across be bottom was the code you had to step for vivid (to make the arrows look like these the default on SSR was flat mode, all beats were the same color). The pink down down is the code on newer machines to go up a difficulty level. Use freely! It's a testament to how many times I played this game that 10 years later I still have the codes memorized.

Really cool idea!
I'm just doing the regular PS2 dance mat arrows on mine alternating all 4 ways. I was only able do stitch the blue ones yet, and I didn't even finish Yoshi yet!! XD Hopefully I can finish everything by Sunday... Only got 3 hours to stitch since last Sunday.

Edit: OMG, I actually realized I made a mistake stitching reading my own post on this forum and not looking directly at my fabric I've been staring at for days!!! I've got such a keen sense of observation!!!! XDXDXD

Hahaha Lileya! That is great. At least you saw it eventually and before you've stitched too much more!
I love the border idea funky! My top is also small because my piece of fabric is small (it's the last piece in a huge amount I bought a couple of years ago). Since I'm trying to make sure I fit all the bands plus the band for the name and year, I am not going to worry about a border till the end. I think my fourth band is going to be guitar hero (to kind of keep it themed...normal game/rhythm game/normal game/rhythm game) and work my border to set the two halves apart.
I've been lurking instead of posting - all of the WIPs look fantastic so far! I started on the DDR band on Wednesday night, and hope to have both bands done this weekend, ready for the 3rd one next week. I love seeing everyone's borders, they all look great!
