I feel the same about how small mine is. My bad. But I am very impressed with the stuff others are entering! So many creative ideas!

So here is my submission. It's the Assassin's Creed logo with Desmond in the middle done in a black-work style. What do you guys think?

I'm loving all the entries.

I thought mine was pretty big. I think it was 50x50 stitches. All that blue was driving me crazy.

And gamerwolff, your pictures aren't showing up. Just an FYI. :)

So now submissions from me this month. :( My new job and the commissions I have are just taking up all my time.

It's an Android game that is in closed beta right now. It's a game between the Resistance and the Enlightened for control of the real world. It's really fun!...

My BF and his buddies play this game - I'm going to have to show him this!

My entry will be fairly large too (45x120 stitches now). The boyfriend caught sight of it while I was creating the pattern. It's from his favourite game so he wanted it BIGGER so we could frame it afterwards lol I'm struggling to find time to stitch it by month's end. I had another entry in mind but it definitely won't hit the deadline, as it's from the same game, but had to be even BIGGER than the one I'm working on right now, cuz it's his favourite weapon from his favourite game haha. That pattern currently sits around 280 stitches long. Thankfully it's a narrow weapon!

All these entries are amazing.. I especially love the Assassin's Creed. I never think to use any stitches other than cross stitch haha.

I can't claim credit totally...I saw this graphic and then made it into a pattern. It took me while to clean it up and make it symmetrical. :banghead:

the original artist is David Goh, and you can see some of his other work here

I'll share the pattern but if you are going to want to do the black work like i did... I don't have a pattern for that....

Here's what I did. I just basically backstitch around the outside of the entire pattern with 2 strands. Once that was done i just searched blackwork on google and picked 3 patterns I liked and thought looked good. I thought the red in the symbol kind of looked like DNA strands to tie into Desmond. Then it's just about filling in the hole with that pattern. Beware this technique takes a lot of thread. it took almost a whole skein of red.....

Also there are a few shadows under the hood to show his face protruding a little bit...but when I did them in the gray....it looked really weird and almost like his face was caving...not a good effect. So I omitted them. You can also obvious just do regular cross stitch too. I'll post a photo of what I mean by fillling in the space with the pattern here in a minute...it's on my iphone.

Here is what I mean by outlining and then filling in.

*see what I mean about that shadow in the face looking horrendous?*
