After seeing the thread storage thread... I was also curious to see if people ever use beads in their work (Mill Hill or other) and also how do you store them?
Since I know that a lot of the patterns that pop up on here are custom made, wasn't sure how many actually use them.
See my reason being I have several TW Designs, Joan Elliot and Mirabilia I would love to do, but all use plenty of Mill Hill Beads and I need compact ways to store.
Most bead boxes are too big and I have some tiny little glass bottles I found in a $2 store that I am using at the moment (see my travel case in thread, thread).
Any other clever ideas you can share?

Re: Bead Storage
I have lots of my seed beads in pill boxes. you can get them with 7 compartments (one for each day) with clip down lids. They can't hold heaps and heaps, but they hold a fair few and make storage easier. I'll try to get a pic when I get home.
I'm not sure where/how you get them normally - mum is a doctor so she used to bring them home whenever I needed more containers.

This is what you mean, I think.

You can get them for cheap at drugstores - though sometimes pharmacists or doctors give them out free. Ask at the pharmacy counter to see if they have a few spares you can nab.

Re: Bead Storage
I'd agree with the pill boxes - they are cheap and have rounded bottoms so that you can easily get the teeny ones out. As a jewelry maker as well as a stitcher, I have a bunch of little triangular trays (got them at the craft store) that I pour my beads into when I make things (also makes it easier for snagging them).
