Millennium Frame Review
As requested by BMH, here's my review of my Millennium Frame.
http://withoutastitchon.blogspot.ie/201 ... frame.html
Its sooo fabulous. If you have any desire to get one of these, do it. You will never want another frame again.
Incidentally, if you're looking for a roller bar frame, I've now got one that will never get used again that is 12" across. If you are interested in it, message me.

Re: Millennium Frame Review
I caved... I bought one
It took 7 weeks to get here, mainly because they didn't post if for 4 weeks, and only posted it once I asked them where was it ......
But it was worth it.....
I got a longer one than normal, 28" which gives loads of space to stitch. Its very easy to set up, very easy to get drum tight, very easy to slacken, very easy to get aligned, and you can stitch longer without worrying about it doing horrible things to your fabric.
Oh and the oak smells nice...
Worth every penny.
Needs a Spirit level in the top bar so you can get the top dead even though.....

Re: Millennium Frame Review
arg! Your review made me want one even more! I really wish it wasn't quite so expensive... I'll have to live with hoops for another year until I'm done with school and get a "real job."

Re: Millennium Frame Review
Heavier than my hoop, but even with my 32" bars it's still pretty light. I haven't found holding them to hurt my hands. It's probably comparable to most scroll frames.Lord Libidan wrote:How heavy are they? I hate heavy frames when stitching...

I just weighted mineLord Libidan wrote:How heavy are they? I hate heavy frames when stitching...
24" cross bars with 12"-14" side bars is about 1.1KG.
I find I'm able to hold it like a violin and then use my pinkie and ring finger to flip the frame from underside to over side. I can't hold it one handed and keep it suspended in mid air for long periods of time, but can rest it on my legs transposed or balanced on my shoulder with no problems for hours.
Compared to my light and flimsy pine stitch-to-the-dowel scroll frame of which I can hold one handed and swing like a sabre its a lot heavier.

Re: Millennium Frame Review
I tend to cradle one end on my elbow which leaves my hand free to work on the back side and easy to flip it back and forth. I actually quite like working that way now as its a lot less pressure on my wrist than a hoop which I have to hold.Icelandic Hitman wrote: I find I'm able to hold it like a violin and then use my pinkie and ring finger to flip the frame from underside to over side.
