GoT Blanket
I'm sure there will be a few of you who have watched and maybe read thew books. But I absolutely adore GoT I have read up until half way through A Feast for Crows so far. This blanket is on my 'make' list but will be a little while before I'm competent enough to give it a go.

Re: GoT Blanket
I love the books and the show. I'm waiting for Mr. Martin to get the next one out. I need to know what happens next!
Also, that blanket is brilliant. It looks like it will definitely take some time to finish. The biggest Ice and Fire/GoT thing I've made so far is my 'Winter is Coming' scarf. I hope you'll post progress pics when you do decide to make the blanket. I'd love to see it coming together.

Are there any pictures of your scarf on here? I will definitely post progres pictures on here when I get round to it, at the minute I'm working on a blanket for my mum and a Zelda Triforce pillow.

Re: GoT Blanket
You're going to make me one next right?!
That looks awesome. Sometimes I wish my mom had taught me more than just cross stitching...although I don't thinks she knows how to knit either. It's a shame as I really need a second (and sometimes a third) blanket for the cold nights here. My old house is so drafty! lol
Can't wait to see progress pics either!

Re: GoT Blanket
I'm now really wishing I'd taken up Gatchastitch's offer of teaching me Tunisian crochet. "I don't need more hobbies," I said. This may have just changed my mind! Looking forward to some WIP pics, good luck!

Re: GoT Blanket
I hadn't posted the scarf on these forums. I'll actually just share the pictures with you here. Seems easiest. hehe
Here's a picture of it curved so it could fit better.

And here's what it looks like when it is laid out flat.

It's crocheted and I put the chart I had made on Ravelry if anyone wants to make one.

Re: GoT Blanket
That scarf looks great what stitch did you use for it? I've only made a hat for my Gf and I'm part way through a blanket for my mum so I struggle to tell from looking at things.

Re: GoT Blanket
It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures, especially because of the black. I used all single crochet (double crochet if you're a UK-er) with a 4.25mm hook. It's 8ply (or double knitting) weight yarn. And that makes it about 5 inches wide and around 55.5 inches long, plus another couple inches for the fringe.

Oh awesome that should be within my capabilities =D thank you very much. I have picked up some wool at lunch to start the blanket off. As they come in seperate patterns I think I might do them seperately and sew them together after.

This is a really cool idea! I've done the Lannister and Stark bookmarks using these patterns and I really like them. I wish I knew another craft other than cross stitch lol I feel so one dimensional next to all you guys!
