I'm making this http://www.123stitch.com/item/Annies-At ... /AA-888071 for my daughter but I have some questions:
1. The pattern calls for 1 sheet pastel yellow 7 ct plastic canvas, does such a beast exist? I didn't find any at Micheals but I still have to check walmart and the local cross stitch store (I don't remember them having any plastic canvas the last time I was there).
2. It calls for Plastic Canvas Yarn, can I just use whatever cheap yarn I find? Also can I use embroidery floss instead(6 strands worth)?
3. The yellow seeds are actually fabric paint, am I crazy to want to use yellow beads instead?
4. If I can't find yellow plastic canvas locally I'm thinking about ordering neon green, neon pink and neon yellow instead e.g.http://www.123stitch.com/item/Darice-Pl ... R-33900-26 , will I be able to find yarn/floss to match and/or compliment the colour of the canvas?
Any help is appreciated!

Re: Strawberry Dollhouse help
Darice make plastic canvas in all sorts of colours, I'm sure there'd be some yellow but you'd have to check. Online is probably the best place to find some!
For 7ct you probably want some tapestry wool/yarn, I have some DMC wools and they are quite nice, although to be honest any brand would probably do just as well.
Yes, you're crazy, that's why you're here!
Not sure about matching those colours but I haven't searched widely so perhaps someone else can advise you better!

So cute! I hope you're able to find all the supplies. I'm sorry I'm of zero help but I'm here for moral support! Such a cute thing must be made!

Re: Strawberry Dollhouse help
So I decided on neon pink, neon yellow, & neon green for the plastic canvas which I got for my birthday! I went to micheals before work & amazingly the neon yarn I wanted was on sale. I need help with something else now: I'm supposed to use 2 sheets of red adhesive backed felt but in my case I'll need neon pink. Should I get regular felt and glue it myself (glue gun or fabric paint)? Or can I use adhesive backed foam board (will it just get all marked up)? Or should I use adhesive backed glitter foam board (marks may be less visible but will all the glitter fall off)?
On a side note I will no longer be doing any sort of glueing since apparently I am very allergic to solvents (in glue, compressed air, and nail polish remover). The last felt craft I did with my son ended up with a visit to the ER
