The name I usually use online was already taken when I signed up, so I panicked and thought "What else do I like??? Ahh!!!" The "stitch" part is... uhhh.... stitching. The "paddle" part refers to kayaking. Mind-blowing, really.

there are some great stories on here and I can't top them but mine's pretty weird...
It started back in high school - Final Fantasy 8 and 9 had both come out and my younger sister had a small crush on Squall from FF8 and I really enjoyed the villain Kuja in 9 (he has some choice lines but his clothing choices are... creepy) so we decided to call "dibs" on the characters, not that it meant anything. Then I went off to college and all of us in the dorms started to play Counter Strike so I used "Kuja" as my handle. I got sick of being called "him" so I added "girl" to the end of it. For a while it was unique enough that I could use it to get any email/account that I needed (it's about 50/50 now) so it's persisted even though I recently found out that "kuja" is a bad word in Syrian. Oh well.

I always loved the name Sakura, and I had started playing Dead or Alive 3 and Kasumi was my FAVORITE. So I put the two together, and... viola! Kasura = ] I don't know about Iome.. It just sounded good xD

Mine is Frost after Black Frost from the SMT series (specifically the one in Devil Survivor, Soldier of love and rage!) and CHNOS is the chemical compound for oxytocin, eheheh

My name is taken from one of my old World of Warcraft characters who was my favorite. She was an Undead Mage, and she originally started out with a completely different name when my hubby and I started and it was so long ago now that I don't even remember what the heck it was. We moved servers a few times and almost everytime my main character ended up needing a name change because the WoW admins/GM's didn't care who's characters was older, if someone on the server you moved to had your name you had to change. Finally on the last server move we made before we stopped playing, she ended up as Sofara because I found a name on a baby name sight spelled Safara and it meant fire, which my mage was mostly a fire mage, so it fit. I simply edited it to make it Sofara and it stuck since no one else had that name. On WoW, you couldn't technically have last names, but you could still give your character a last name if you wanted and just use it when you wanted to like with any other game. In her backstory that I created for her, she was born during a starfall and ended up with the last name Starfyre.

My spirit animal is a black wolf so I started my Internet life as BlackWolf18 (I was 18 lol). She would visit me in my dreams when I was unsure and needed guidance and BlackWolf evolved into DreamWolf. Around 14 years ago I was pregnant and kind of unsure of things because hubby and I didn't really have our lives in order at all. We were staying with my mother-in-law and I was sitting at the computer chair spacing out and suddenly the word MeiTow flashed across my field of vision and then a black wolf head. She corrected me on the pronunciation till I got it right when she smiled and disappeared (My T-ow). I've only seen her in my dreams a couple of times since then.

Mine is from highschool when a friend and I were at spending the day skipping school and playing Gauntlet. We were horribly hungry and ended up eating an entire loaf of bread as toast and butter.

Since then our levels of hunger were always measured in the amount of a loaf we wanted to eat.

Mine is a play on those shirts that were popular about 10 years ago that said "Jesus is my Homeboy", but since I'm not religious (unless video games are considered a religion) I just replaced it with Link from TLOZ since that's my favorite game series. I originally started out as "DontCrossMe" on this site. I was very unimaginative the day I signed up, and honestly, didn't think I would get as involved with this site as I did. The lack of being able to use an apostrophe (I love proper grammar!) and the fact that my username made me sound like a beyotch made me want to change it

monkeypeaches, you ask? Those two words have nothing in common! Well, my boyfriend has called me monkey for over 5 years; a nickname donned because I have too much energy and tend to jump around like a spaz. One day I was eating a bowl of peaches with whipped cream, and he said he didn't know any other monkey who ate peaches. monkeypeaches was born that day, and those two cute words side-by-side always make me smile!
