Re: What does your username mean?
QueenBex, because I am Bex and queen because when I was bullied at school my history teacher took me to one side and listed off famous historical figures with ginger hair, Queen Elizabeth was my favourite. First time I was trying to make up a username, that conversation popped into my head and I just made it QueenBex and I've been using it ever since.

Re: What does your username mean?
It is the first name of my favorite character in my favorite book growing up. Been using it for nearly 20 years now.
PS- 10 points if you know the book!

I can't remember the name of the book right now but was it like a sort of fantasy version of the French revolution? Every time I see your name I think of that story, I once read it years ago and never saw the book again!Eliste wrote:PS- 10 points if you know the book!

Re: What does your username mean?
Arkani is the german name of Arcanine.
When I first played Pokemon, before I actually knew what it was, on a friends old Pocket gameboy (that were as big as house bricks LOL) the first thing I caught was a Growlithe. Enter a 'hey, watch this' from friend, and I saw growlithe evolve to Arcanine.
I was hooked, and I have a slight problem with wanting to collect everything arcanine related.

Re: What does your username mean?
This is the first forum I've joined (except for 1 I didn't post on) so I wanted something related to the site. So since I'm a proud mama I thought of stitchingmama! After I registered it I realized it was perfect since it sounded like I was making a play on the video game title "cooking mama". Long story short I just let you guys know I'm not as clever as I seem.

You're right on target. Illusion by Paula Volsky. She's amazeballs. One day I'd like to be able to write as awesome as she does.blackmageheart wrote: I can't remember the name of the book right now but was it like a sort of fantasy version of the French revolution? Re: What does your username mean?
Oh well, I'm NaNoWriMo'ing this year, but am not going to be finishing on time (damn full time work + college). Eventually I'll get published- (probably not first for this one) but when I do, I'm sure ya'll will hear all about it. I'm not very good at letting others read my stuff though.
Also- I have trouble finding Paula Volsky here in Ireland except second hand bookshops, but you can find Illusion in ebook formats. Give me a shout if you need help finding it. I'll happily throw her books at everyone.

Re: What does your username mean?
My full name is Alexandra. I didn't want my username to be Alex, so I went with Ally instead! I haven't had anyone call me Ally since I was about 5!
