What does your username mean?

Mine is actually the name of my first (and only) pet. I used to have a turtle named Yurtle. I named him based on the Dr. Seuss book Yertle the Turtle but I liked it better spelled with a "u". I had him for 8 years but I couldn't take him when me when I moved provinces so had to find him another home. He was awesome though! He used to hiss at my now husband and he would hop whenever you touched his shell near his tail. It was adorable!!

Ellen is my first name, adding the -tje to it makes it 'little Ellen' in Dutch, which is what my boyfriend calls me

Mine is actually short for a nickname I was given in college. A friend of mine started calling me Philpepeboomshakalaka (since my name is Phillip), and while it may be fine when spoken, it doesn't translate as well in written text, so I shortened it to Philpepe!

Back in the days of WinMX, there were some pretty awesome chat rooms to pass the time. You were assigned random numbers to your sig and I got 175 as the first three attached to rosey, which is my nickname. The numbers kinda stuck with me after I discovered one could choose the first three. I was in the anime chats all the time (how did I pass my first year of college again?) and it's how people would know "it's the real Rosey" haha.

So now I seem to be rosey175 everywhere. For the past 10ish years already!

Incidentally, there is another rosey175 lurking around the internet. How this happens, I do not know, especially as the other one is a UK dude and I'm a USA'n gal. I should message him.
