Re: Pattern Theft
It was probably me. That way in case anyone else does post reviews, yours will be listed as the "Most Helpful".

Re: Pattern Theft
I also just wrote reviews on all three of those, I also recommend that people mark the other low reviews as helpful. I think a couple low reviews will be enough to probably prevent sales. hopefully amazon addresses this soon.
The low reviews will also effect the sellers overall rating of everything which should hopefully make him not want to damage his whole store for 3 patterns.

Re: Pattern Theft
I'm tempted to buy one just so I can give him/her/it a bad seller rating!
Feel free to reuse what I wrote: "Do not buy from this seller, they steal free/not copyrighted materials. This pattern is available for free on the Sprite Stitch Forum." in other, bad, reviews.
Also about the purchased patterns being a "bunch of numbers" I think this is because Kindles have to convert PDFs in order to read them and if it's not done correctly it will be corrupted. This is good news for us but bad news for Kindle owners - getting free materials on your device is a pain.

Re: Pattern Theft
A win against the evil-doers! I sent in a complaint yesterday about copyright issues for my Boo (along with a link to the forums here and the first time I posted *my* image), and I just received an email that said:
"Thank you for your message. Please be advised that we are in the process of removing the following Kindle titles from all Amazon sites: Big Boo Needlework Pattern. It typically takes 2-3 days for a listing to disappear once it has been removed from our catalog. We trust that this will bring this matter to a close."
I hope that anyone else who has had their property taken can have it resolved this quickly!

Re: Pattern Theft
That's awesome. I'm starting to think that we should have a FAQ/How to thread that explains how to do this on Etsy, Amazon, etc. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

Re: Pattern Theft
Who did you send that to? It might be worth us doing that for all the ones that are on Sprite Stitch, if we can compile a list with images or links to prove that we have them here.jadely wrote:A win against the evil-doers! There was a link that said something like, report this product. It then took me to a page where I had to select fill out an online form. I did have to provide a lot of personal details-- address, phone number-- but since I already had an account with them it didn't bother me. I put the link to where I first posted my image in the box that said something like additional comments.
If that is too vague, let me know. I don't care to go back and click through the site again if it helps someone else!

I would really appreciate it! I'm not sure I found the right link.jadely wrote:If that is too vague, let me know. I don't care to go back and click through the site again if it helps someone else!

Re: Pattern Theft
Close to the bottom of the page, there is a section titled "Feedback". I selected the link that said "Do you believe that this item violates a copyright? Click here".katdun wrote:I would really appreciate it! I'm not sure I found the right link.jadely wrote:If that is too vague, let me know. That then sent me to a page where it gave instructions how to make a complaint about copyright. There is a tiny hotlink on the word "forum". From there, you will fill out the page I filled out. I think that part is pretty clear, so I won't bore you with that

I hope that helps!

Re: Pattern Theft
I'm taking off for the holidays at 4 am tomorrow (eww) but I think this is something that we could hammer out pretty fast. I think it'll be easier to host it on the wiki and just have a thread for comments on here, thoughts?
