I used to work at a small asian restaurant. My boss never pronounced my name right (Naomi- Nay-oh-me) and always called me Nyami...Said how it's typed. I never had the heart to correct her and it's stuck for usernames since =)

I used to live in North Philly when I went to Temple. One night I got a little drunk (ok, a lot drunk) and I was making my way back to my apartment. I was pretty tired (read: drunk) and I knew I was going to just lay down and go to sleep if I didn't do anything about. So I called a good friend of mine and told him, "YOUSH NEED TA KEEPSH ME AWAKE. I DUN WANNA PASSOUT INNA DITCHSH SOM'AIR!" So while he kept me talking and conscious I continued stumbling back home. I was fading fast and becoming more incoherent though - it didn't look good. Well, wouldn't you know it, a cat just so happened to be emerging from an alley about a block from my apartment. In my stupor, I immediately yelled, "OH MY GOD, IT'S A KITTY!" and began chasing it. Luckily, it ran up the block towards my apartment. And the rest is history.

My user name incorporates "Nintendo" with the suffix "-phile" which, according to Webster's, means "One that loves or has a strong affinity or preference for"... BAM, Nintendophile! :NES

My name is my newest online alias. I'm trying to remember where else I've used it, oh, right, Yahoo IM a friend wanted me to rejoin, but I wanted something that wouldn't be confused with my professional online name / Twitter ID.

So, lib = library / librarian and rebel = rebel and it sounds similar to my last name. I'm also a Libertarian, so it works on those sites as well. :peach

Also, it sounds like a pokemon. =P

I first used this screenname about 10 years ago (I was 13) so I'm not really sure what it means...

Lol, mine sounds like a Pokemon? That's funny because I'm slightly before the Pokemon era. My little sister (10 years younger) was really into them, but I was already in high school when they came out. I did like the TV show though I never played any of the games. Couldn't get into any card games though. Magic the Gathering was big when I was in middle school and I never got the point. Just stuck to boring euchre. :)

Canonictophobia = A fear of dogs in the dark

Ok after further thought I've edited this to offer more of an explanation. I used to work in a shoe store in a bigger city, this shoe store had a lot of interesting characters, so much so that it felt like an extended family, we all got along well and argued well and had our little quirks that everyone had to work arround or else. The customers often asked us if it was a family run buisness and because my boss was a pathalogical liar we would always say yes lol.

One gentleman I wokred with was tall thin, in his late 60's and would hunch over and walk arround mumbling to himself, you'd neaver know it to look at him but he was the worlds biggest sweety and very smart. He got it into his head one day he was going to teach me latin, so everyday at work he'd come in with sheets of phobias and phillias and have me try and decifer them. lol it was alot of fun! so one day I asked him if he could name my fear, I'm terrified of dogs but even more so at night time. and ta da, one day he came in with Canonictophobia. Cano =dog nicto= dark phobia = fear of.

lol it kinda stuck, and it also work to disscourage people from e-mailing me because no one ever remembers my e-mail ect lol.

boring story I know but ah well.

Tusmørke is the danish word for Twilight
- and no I'm not a fan of the Twilight series.
This username of mine dates back to my teenage years when i had a rough time at home and nobody noticed me at school.
Back then i kind of saw myself as a flower that blossoms in the twilight, when nobody is around to see it.
Also my real first name Linnea is the name of a flower.
So I chose TusmoerkeBlomstring(TwilightBlooming) and when I had to cut it down it became TusmoerkeBlomst(TwilightFlower) and when I had to cut it down even further it then became Tusmoerke.
So if you see any of those names around you can be pretty sure its me
