Re: What was your most-expensive cross-stitching project?
Didn't the woman who stitched the 6 meter one say it took like 3 years? Something like that, I'm off to google that one lol With the kit I got I'm making it my mission to stitch at least one page (or section depending on how it's separated) between every single project until what I have is gone and then working solely on that...many years later, it'll be finished lol

I'm not sure what my kit is called, it just said "flowers peacock big picture" and when I got it, it was all in Chinese, so I have no idea lol. I just went through the pattern book yesterday. I'm in for a long project with that one. The canvas alone is as long as I am tall.QueenBex wrote:WOW! Those are EPIC x10000 pieces!! 22 metres long are you...ok?

Re: What was your most-expensive cross-stitching project?
My most expensive is a combined project with my sister.
About 5 years ago we decided to make my parents a tablecloth for their 16-seat dining table. It is Christmas themed and combines hardanger, cutwork, beading & cross stitch.
Fortunately we have an uncle who does cabinetry & framing and made us a specialised scroll frame for the material
Other than that Linen, beads, variety of floss - metallic, silk, multi-hued etc and all the needles as we keep losing them it is approx $1500 & that includes the random stuff my parents send us with comments I found these bells, don't you think they would look lovely trimmed on the hem. Lol
Well at least we know all our hard work will be appreciated, only catch is they keep threatening to will us the table now rofl
