Re: Where do you get your supplies?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but does anyone know any sources for bright colours of evenweave or aida? I'm tired of all the neutral tones and would love something with some 'pop'. I've been searching for a while for turquoise or lime evenweave - ideally 25ct or higher - but haven't had much luck.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have used Dove Stitch for special coloured fabrics. They do all sorts of counts and loads of colours. They aren't the cheapest, but their stuff is really nice to use. I'm using Barely Lime for a commission and Maribou Pink for my PSIV project, but there's a ton more. And Greta is really nice to deal with.

Re: Where do you get your supplies?
Hi,
are there people here from Germany (maybe even Berlin) who have some ideas where to buy DMC threads? I found some nice online shops but it would be great if I could just go to a shop. I don't want to pay shipment again and again.
Thanks for your help

Michaels is the main place but I also have a Joann Fabrics, AC Moore, and Walmart nearby. Sometimes I get stuff from Amazon or eBay

Re: Where do you get your supplies?
If anyone lives in the NYC area I HIGHLY recommend Annie & Co on 92nd St. Yes their prices aren't as good as Michaels or an online chain, but everyone there is SO lovely and helpful, and it is so much fun to walk around looking at all the patterns and fun accessories. They also have lots of comfy chairs and tables where you can hang out and work with other people, as well as a full half of the store devoted to knitting and BEAUTIFUL fiber, if you enjoy that as well. I do still buy a lot online, but for a fun weekend shopping trip I cannot ask for a better place.

Just got some evenweave from 123 Stitch...and it came with the edges serged!
Not to mention the fact that their shipments come quickly and their prices are pretty good (I think)...I would highly recommend them!

Micheals is my main place but I also go to a lot of thrift stores. I like going to the thrift stores cause then I can get something cheap and "play/experiment" with it. Oh btw I live in Canada

Re: Where do you get your supplies?
WOW thank you for this recommendation!!! They have such beautiful colors, and honestly I don't think the prices are that bad at all! Then again I'm used to either buying from NYC specialty shops (lovely, but PRICEY) or online where with shipping it ends up being expensive no matter what. Will definitely use on a new series I'm working on.blackmageheart wrote:I have used Dove Stitch for special coloured fabrics. They do all sorts of counts and loads of colours.
