Hey guys!
I'm getting into writing more and more, testing my skills, trying knew things and I am running out of ideas on what to write about thats more factual less fictional.
My sci-fi/ fantasy writing is at an all time high, but what I really want is to combine my love of stitching with my love of writing.
This is where you come in. Suggest to me craft related issues or products you would like to see an article on. I could do with challenging my research skills too.
To you Mods reading, I am more then willing to allow you to use anything I write. Heck chop it up, change it, I don't mind. This idea is for my practise and expansion of writing skills, perhaps an exploration of the crafting world too. I just need the starting points.
Hope you guys can help me out!
In the meantime I'll do the best I can.

I'm always interested in the history of things. You could do several things with that: cross stitch, blackwork, knitting, etc.

I second this! That will definitely hone your research skills.I'm always interested in the history of things
Maybe an in-depth comparison of the free vs paid patterning programs?

I'm massively into the idea of traditional embroidery from different cultures. I would totally read the hell out of that.Kareesh wrote:I'm always interested in the history of things. You could do several things with that: cross stitch, blackwork, knitting, etc.
However, as a mod & blogger, how about different modern embroidery? We could have a series of them...

Brilliant idea!!! Challenging, interesting, I like it!Kareesh wrote:I'm always interested in the history of things. You could do several things with that: cross stitch, blackwork, knitting, etc.
The challenge might be restricting myself.
Oh oh! How about I create a blog, with regular updates in an ongoing series? That way I could do as much or as little as I want and perhaps eventually make it into a book...

Thats an interesting idea. I'm looking to get a laptop I can take to wifi hot spots, and when I do I could get a program or two and review them.acidMiasma wrote:I second this! That will definitely hone your research skills.I'm always interested in the history of things

I certainly think a series is the way to go.
