Happy Halloween!

Post by funkymonkey »

I'm sure this group comes up with some amazing costumes! Post yours here!

This year, I'm using one I made a couple years back. My band has a show tonight, so I'll actually get to perform with the cookie suit for my trumpet! Normally this costume goes sans-cookie because I don't want to bother carrying my trumpet around.

I LOVE THAT SUIT :D
You made it? Too awesome.

I don't usually dress up for halloween but this year I was going to be a yūrei until I got sick and couldn't get it together as well as sorting out other stuff. But I've been working on a Black Mage outfit for the Final Fantasy concert I'm going to (if I can stop being ill) which I'll post if that's ok!

Moar costumes please! ^^

Thanks!

Yeah, I got a pattern for some other sort of animal costume (one of these i think http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m6106-p ... age_id=494), sewed the crotch about a foot lower than it said to, and made it a bit too big for me. I thought I would put some sort of padding in, but it actually looks fine a bit baggy. I also just sewed the feet closed and didn't bother making the footies.

For the head, I used a plastic halloween cauldron that I cut an opening for the mouth, and for the eyes I used racquetballs in a pair of socks pulled through the cauldron. It actually wasn't that bad to make! It did get blue fuzz all over my house for about the next year though, so be warned... :)

I talk about the dress and how it became like it is on my Halloween blog post.

Was a damn shame on actual Halloween we were sick as it gets though =( No candy for us!

The only part that's homemade is the leaves on the strawberry baby's head.
