You guys are a lot fancier than me. I keep mine in a plastic box, and I have a word document with all the threads I have that I update periodically. I'm thinking about getting smaller boxes for my big box to keep my threads by the hundred colors

I store the big skeins on cardboard bobbins in craft organizer boxes. For current projects, I inherited a neat fabric case from my mom that has something similar to funkymonkey - the floss pages, big pockets on the sides, spaces for scissors and the like. Then I place pre-cut portions into the floss organizer plastic bags on a ring (labeled with the number) for each project.
Current projects:

HP House Scarves
Secret of Mana charity square
Vid game advent calendar

I've used both the bobbins and the stitchbows, and I definitely prefer the bobbins. I haven't had a problem with the whole skein fitting on the plastic bobbins (the cardboard ones do bend easily) and they are a FAR cheaper option than the stitchbows. The stitchbows tended to slide out of their plastic sleeves and get tangled. Gah. :banghead:

I am hopelessly disorganised compared to everyone else. All my threads are in one big plastic bag and I store them as they come, in skeins. I do move colours for specific projects to other plastic bags with the project, but once its done its back in the big bag they go

For individual projects, I use ziplock bags so that I can take them with me easily. I've only recently gotten in to stitching "from scratch", and I have a very bad habit of buying duplicates of DMC threads because I didn't realize I already had them.

I strore mine in a craft box with dividers on bobbins. The ones that arent on a bobbin go in a big tin seperated by color family in plastic baggies so I at least have a general idea of where to find a color when I need it

I use plastic bobbins in the craft organizers. I have my threads organized in numerical order. When I do a project, I make my own "kit" and put all the supplies needed in scrapbook project sleeves so I can just grab-n-go when I'm working on a project (or 3). I have tried to use the stitch bows, but they are not really for me. They're too expensive and I kept having issues with them either getting stuck or falling out of their "sleeves" so I didn't buy any more after the initial purchase.
