Idea for a Pattern

I love Pokemon. And I love the medieval era, knights and all that. Then I came up with an idea - why not combine the two loves and see what comes of it? So here is a preliminary idea. I'd love to know what people think of it.

And if this idea works for Pokemon - imagine what other things it could work for. Zelda doesn't count, btw. They already have a shield.
