APR-JUN: Big Swap!

Yes! You read correctly! The time for the big swap is at hand!
Big swap, as we've come to call it, is pretty much like the "mini" swap, but there's no limits on what you can make! Literally, anything goes. Any size, any shape, any craft - all is welcome. Showcase your design and craft talents by making superspecialawesome gifts for your Sprite Stitch buddies!

Parallel to the swap, for those who don't want to or can't participate, will be a series of mysterious mystery challenges. What's the mystery, you ask? Mystery means that this time around, I'm setting the themes! And keeping them under my Black Mage Hat, for now!
All I will say is that each challenge will be linked to the one before. But I have said too much already!
The mystery challenges will be open to everyone, so swappies may still take part!

ANYWAY!
Sign ups for the swap are open starting now, and will close on Thursday 22nd March! I will most likely allow latecomers, but please try to sign up before the closing date! Please consider very carefully if you can commit time and effort to the swap, and post in this thread if you want to join in.

Rules, surveys and all that stuff will be posted after sign ups have closed. Any questions about the swap or mystery challenge, feel free to post them here or PM me if you wish, I'll do my best to help you out!

if one were to be part of the mystery challenges, would one have to participate in each challenge or can one pick and choose which one to be in month from month? i like the word "one". it has so many uses, lol.

I think it would be most effective for one to participate in all the challenges as a series but I'll try to arrange it in such a way that one could be more selective

I've never done a mystery challenge before, and I know you can't say too much without giving it away, but could you elaborate or give an example of a previous one or something? I've heard of stitch alongs, and mystery quilt classes where you don't know what the quilt will look like, you just get little parts of the instructions over an evening, or extended period, and eventually put the whole quilt together and see it then. Will this be anything like that? Does it have to be in cross stitching? Anything to give me an idea of what this is would be helpful

I'll sign up for the BIG Swap. I'm a bit nervous as I've never done a swap, but part of my resolution for this year was to try new things!

And I would also like to know if we can pick and choose for the Mystery Challenges before I commit. Also, if we are in it for the long haul, as they say, about how many challenges and over how many months? Or is it too mysterious for us to know!

Well, without giving too much away...I'm gonna have you make something in the first part, re-use it in some way in the second, and re-use that in the third. Does that make sense?
And no, it doesn't have to be cross stitched. I like to get as many different crafts as possible so everything's welcome!

Put me in for the swap - I definitely can't miss out on it! I doubt I'll be able to commit to the mystery challenges - most unfortunately - but we'll see what develops.
