I like video games. I like art. I'm pretty sure I'm not unique in this!
The challenge will be about putting video games into a different art style. Mario Nouveau. Pop Art Sonic. Ukiyo-e Okami...wait, never mind about that one!
Please feel free to use any style and medium you want to; could be cross stitch, painting, or anything! I only ask that as per the title, you stick to video games for the theme
You can submit as many entries as you like, or can churn out in the allotted time, either is good. Questions can be submitted below, as usual. Challenge ends October 31st so get cracking!

Haha, no. I only wish I could get someone who loves Okami as much as I do!

My brother loves Okami. I keep wanting to make him something. What is Ukiyo-e Okami. Maybe this will be a push for me to make him something Okami

Ukiyo-e is a form of Japanese art, done in woodblock printing or painting. It dates from about the 17th century and was very popular. Usually showed pictures of things like kabuki, geisha/courtesans, battles, all sorts really.
If you know the Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Hokusai, that's a good example of the style. But like I said above, the bestiary in Okami is all done in that style, as are the ending scenes of a chapter of the game (eg after defeating Orochi and its essence flies off to the north). Do let me know if you need any help, as I just completed Okami again 2 days ago and it's all pretty fresh in my head!

I love Okami! I would love a watercolor of feeding the sparrows but I'm no good at painting >.<

Hmmm, interesting. I'll have to see if I can think of something.
