Woo mini gift has been sent! It's supposed to take a couple weeks but you'll know when you get it because it has a big sprite stitch logo drawn on the back :D

im looking for a private company to send it but they are waaaaaaaaay too expensive.. i will wait only one more week and if mail are still on a strike, i will send by the private company....

im sooooo sorry swappie!!!! T T
Well that's an unexpected problem, heh. Also interesting reading just now about the strike. If I'm your buddy, feel free to wait a few weeks to see if it gets resolved :)
I think most of us would be okay waiting a few weeks to see if it resolves. Swaps should be fun, not bank breaking >.<
Thirded. Don't break your bank over an unforeseen problem. :) There is still plenty of time to send anyway so no worries!

Fourth-ed.
Is that a thing?
I can make it a thing.
Its a thing.

Also, on greatly positive news; both mega and mini swaps are out of the door and into the postal service! So listen up two of you; parcels are coming...

I'm doing something I've never done before so it's taking me a bit longer than I expected, and it's not quite as neat as my perfectionist self would like, but I think it will still look good in the end. I should still be done before the deadline.

I have finally been making some good progress on my mega swap gift, but still a long way to go. I should still be able to send it out by the deadline, but overseas shipping can take a while so my partner may have to be a little patient. Sorry :sorry: I hope it is worth the wait!

I am a little nervous as it is my first mega swap, and I don't want to send significantly less than everyone else. It should be ok though, I am pretty excited about what I am making. As always seems to be the case, I am trying something new!

I'm feeling the same way! I'm trying not to worry about it too much, by keeping in mind that 1) It's mega for me, in terms of time investment etc. and 2) if I would get this in the post, I would not be disappointed that it's not mega enough. (now let's hope the same goes for my swap partner!)

Ditto. Same for the mini. And I just keep reminding myself that my partners will like what I send and be excited and they're getting gifts tailored to them. I did the mini swap a few years ago and I was so excited to get this beautiful Mario cross stitch which would have taken me about 6 months to do and I never once even thought to think about if it was "enough". I was like "omgthisisthecoolestthingeverwherecanIputitup"

I don't think it's the quantity that most people care about - it's the thought that went into picking the perfect gift just for them! At least it is for me. :nod

I have kinda the opposite problem... I'm realizing now just how many little projects I made for the mega swap as I try to gather them all into the final box. :tomato: haha Swappee should be busy for a while going through everything and doing the DIY activities I came up with. Whenever I got bored at work (and it's been slow), I made brain teasers for this and then tested them for, um, "quality assurance." lol I have two things left to finish, then it should be ready to mail!

My baby LOVED one project, so I made a new one for swappee and gave up the first one to be a baby toy. My husband took over a project and he's not sure he's willing to part with it now, so I started a new one of that, too - really easy project, should be done tonight. Last project I need my sewing machine for, so I have to work on it after all 3 kids go to bed otherwise I have waaaaay too much help. I was sewing along when the youngest little boy snuck up on me and jammed the pedal down full throttle. Different day the oldest boy decided to take my pins out of the cushion and throw them on the floor one by one while I was in the middle of a seam. Middle boy likes to sit on my lap and commentate for me and demand more sewing. lol

Anyone else hit a boring part of the project and have to force yourself to continue on? I'm doing 25 inches of the same thing over and over and I feel like I'm dying lol The end result is going to be really cool, but man, it is a STRUGGLE getting through this section. :help:
Current Projects:
Joan Elliot Geisha
Mega Peacock (page 3 of 40)
Sophie's Universe
