Legend of Zelda
Original 150 Pokemon
Indie Games
System specific (i.e. NES, PS2...)
Food (Not something like Cooking Mama where the game is based around food, but food in everyday games)
Powerups (any kind, not just Mushrooms)
Baddies
Girl Power (Only female characters in games)
Yoshi
Yoshi eggs
Pokemon eggs
Mario mushrooms
Kirby
Geeky sci-fi
I agree with these

I like the idea of doing a classic game for this- Zelda or Mario. They have such lasting power that I think they can appeal to many people which would help with folks doing the same pattern.
I wuld really be into stitching anything, but power ups, or items would be my top picks since they are simple and from a bunch of different days. Or treasure chests from various games. Some would be nice a plain, and then other big, ornate fancy ones. I would enjoy stitching them.

In terms of a colouring book, I think we should all stitch Yoshis! Because, honestly, it doesn't matter what colour they are, they're always adorable!! Green, purple, pink, striped, dotted, awesome!!!

I second Yoshis'. My second choice would be power ups.

I agree - there are so many other great things we could come up with - Yoshi is not on my list of things I'd like to do.
Whilst I'm also not a fan of Yoshi, I think the idea of all doing one thing and seeing what we can come up with sounds like a neat idea for a challenge.
