kuja.girl wrote:I would suggest renaming this from challenge to "stitch-a-long" then as it was, and still is, very confusing otherwise.
You are right, of course. Name now changed!
kuja.girl wrote:I... don't like the restriction to "popular games."
I didn't say "popular games", just "reasonably well-known games". I meant things that most people will have at least heard of, if not played. Perhaps I should have just said "no ridiculously obscure games" instead!

No worries, your maj! I'm sure there'll be something you know in the final selection.

RMDC wrote:That's a fantastic scaling job, Aggie - all the details are there, and everyone's instantly recognizable. Frog came out especially well. I also like the idea of using alternate stitches for the sparkle line.
All the credit goes to Squaresoft for the scaling. I wish I was that talented at sprite work. I just used the tiny overworld sprites for the band.
You know, I forgot those sprites existed. I guess I ought to go back and play it again.
Mostly hibernating here. Find me on Twitter @rmdcade.
We could do a thing where we can pick one of two designs (or one out of four depending on how many bands we get) per week. That way we are still doing, roughly, the same thing but it gives people a bit of a choice. The two bands could be randomly selected each week.

I should learn to read what people write instead of the "translations" that sometimes occur in my head! (lol) thanks for calling me on that!
@RMDC - right back at ya ;) If I am able to pull this off I will be interested in seeing how many people actually have played the game...
Loving the bands so far and so many people are coming up with great ideas i would love to c. Wish i was gd at makin patterns. Cant wait to c wat else is made xD

Wow, I was super busy today and yesterday and away from the computer and I seem to have missed a lot! I love the bands that have been designed so far. I have to say that I am torn... on the one hand, it would be cool for everyone to be stitching the same thing. On the other hand, it would be more enjoyable to be stitching games that you like. I already know which bands that have been submitted so far that I would want to stitch. But it is a stitch-a-long... I know RMDC said he's tired of voting, but I think I prefer voting to the random picking out of BMH's magic hat. (Nothing against the hat. It's a cool hat.) I haven't gotten a chance to design a band yet but I should have one done by tomorrow.
"I assure you, Commander, the cards are sufficiently randomized."
Current projects:
Sherlock wallpaper stitch
Quilting
Crocheting
There is some backstitching around the fruits as they have an outline in the places I have put the backstitch, but the backstitch could be done away with if people don't want to do it.
I made one of Mario Paint! XD I used to play this game a lot as a kid, me and a childhood friend would spend countless hours goofing around with it. We still play it from time to time for old time's sake!
