Re: APRIL Stitch-a-Long - Samplers
I will be doing my own version of this sampler when I find the time and finally decide to do something for me and not for everyone else. Anybody else have that problem?

Oh yeah I feel ya! This is the first thing I've sewn for myself in years!!Knittenkitten wrote:I will be doing my own version of this sampler when I find the time and finally decide to do something for me and not for everyone else. Anybody else have that problem?
Hey guys I swear I must be really stupid or something. I'm just about to begin the journey band, went and got 371 instead of 317

3799 is a really, really dark grey. I mean really dark. Black would work just as well here; but if you want a grey maybe 844. As for 317 either 645 or 646 should be a good sub.QueenBex wrote:Knittenkitten wrote:

Also, don't be too hard on yourself. I sent out my hubby to get me two skeins of 444. He came back with one skein of 445 and one skein of 945 and didn't even notice that 445 and 945 are pretty distinctly different shades of yellow. lol
Icedragon -> You don't know how much I LOVE that you picked Chip's Challenge. That game was a great time waster for me back in the day and one I will definitely be stitching when I do the sampler of games I love from the bunch!

Of all the colours I have I don't have any of those! So I can use black instead of 3799. But I have neither 645 or 646...MeiTow wrote:3799 is a really, really dark grey. I mean really dark. So typical! I have 4 boxes worth of thread but it's never the one you want!! Just frustrated, been such a good day and I am soo tired and I just wanted to cuddle in and do the journey one and moan moan moan moan...

Perhaps a 413 would be a suitable replacement for 317? If you have that

No problem! I'm glad it worked for your pattern too, it looks nice BTW!icedragonj wrote:I have moved the placing around a bit for mine, but I definately plan on using it. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely, this is the first thing I've actually done for myself in a loooong time! I usually do things for my kids/husband/family right when I get the idea, but stuff I pick to make for myself gets forgotten about.Knittenkitten wrote:Anybody else have that problem?
MeiTow and BMH beat me to it already with good choices, but you could try 413 and 414 for the two greys you're missing. Although I do agree, black would look great too instead of the 3799.QueenBex wrote:So can anyone suggest some alternatives for these two please?

I have not 413, I have 414...katdun wrote:MeiTow and BMH beat me to it already with good choices, but you could try 413 and 414 for the two greys you're missing. So would black instead of 3799 and then 414 instead of 317 be ok?

Also...in case you don't have it....
Found this somewhere on this forums and it's great for these types of questions.
