Re: JUNE/JULY Event - Colouring Book (Symbols & Logos)
Ok, here is my entry:
A better view of 'Tosh:
Akatosh front and center, of course, but I couldn't resist making two more to complete a "thieves guild" set (hope that's not bending the rules too much).
These are faux tin tiles made from the lids of catering trays and painted in acrylic. I got the idea here: http://suzyssitcom.com/2012/06/feature- ... orial.html
I originally stumbled across it on Pinterest and filed it away for further use - trying to figure out what would look good in metal. I am not truly happy with the finish as I wanted to use the corkboard idea in the tutorial but I just couldn't find one I liked. I did, however, find some "cut your own cork" that may get used to fix this when I have time. I did really enjoy the texture effect it produces and plan to use this technique again.

Well that's it folks! Thanks for participating, vote will be up shortly.
Also would like to thank you all for being my test subjects while I refine my achievements idea. Hopefully I'll be able to implement it better in future, I've learned a lot from this! Maybe you'll all unlock the set next time, and win goodies!

Do we get to learn what didn't get unlocked?

As promised, here's what wasn't unlocked.
I do have a question for everybody (and I'm taking notes here) - would you prefer to see the achievements in grey until they are unlocked, have them hidden, or a combination? Would love to know as it'll help me to refine it for future implementations!

I think it would be cool to know what the achievements are from the beginning, so that we know what we're working toward.

Re: JUNE/JULY Event - Colouring Book (Symbols & Logos)
I had guessed there was likely a "do all the images" achievement, and had hoped I'd finish my dissertation early enough to get involved and figure out what was missing, but that didn't happen.blackmageheart wrote: I do have a question for everybody (and I'm taking notes here) - would you prefer to see the achievements in grey until they are unlocked, have them hidden, or a combination? I think having stuff known is better as it gives you something to work towards and guides choices. Some extras might be hidden, like achievements that chain off other achievements, but basic achievements are better as goals you can work towards imo.

Re: JUNE/JULY Event - Colouring Book (Symbols & Logos)
Thanks peeps! I knew I should have done it that way and I'm not really sure why I didn't, but I will next time for sure. And I think I'll do the thing you suggested too Eliste - chaining achievements and hiding them, make them a bit more...prestigious or something
