Re: Swap 2015!
The post office said my gift was delivered on the 3rd. I am trying to patiently wait to see if they like it.

Re: Swap 2015!
I've been a bad Lurky McLurkerface these passed few months. But lo and behold! I have tidings of great swap!!! I got a text from the condo office yesterday that I had a package (I was not expecting a package). Could it be?????? YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
And I couldn't be happier!
Thank you SO much, Hellfire! I had to actually go back to look at my info sheet to see that I requested a geeky biscornu (LOL).
So here are all the things:
My little disguised pumpkin dude (he is going to live with my Ultros plushie and my Wood from Catan plushie), a tasty Lindt bear, and a SHINY (I'm kind of a magpie):
The two sided keychain that had such neat stitches that at first glance, I thought it was printed:
And finally......the BISCORNU *sighs* Such excellent stitching, especially at the join! Including my fave Mario enemies (Blooper, Boo, and Drybones):
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
To my poor swappie, I am making definite progress and am determined to finish it this weekend!

Re: Swap 2015!
I had honestly not known what they were until one of the previous swaps where someone had received one. Then they kept on popping up all over!LucyInTheSky wrote:<to the google> BISCORNU ... ornamental pincushion. Learned something new todayYeah, that's beautiful

Re: Swap 2015!
Was going to send my swap package out tomorrow...but my cat decided to use the main gift as a hairball/vomit receptacle, so I have to remake that. ::sigh:: Should get it done this week and sent next weekend. Many many apologies

Re: Swap 2015!
This is like a whole 5 days late, but guess what I got?
Yeh, thats right, a rather beaten up package from Japan! (its all good though, it was just the box)
So, without further ado, I opened by mega gift from icedragonj! To start proceedings, a No Man's Sky watercolour (I asked for a painting
)
Next up is a wood burn Fallout sign to welcome in Fallout 4 on Tuesday! *cant wait*
And then we get to tea, second in my life to cross stitch (they go super well together, just saying) including teas from Japan and Auz! And one has actual gold in it. Like... Real gold. Living like a Pharaoh or what?
But I need something to make it in... And I can't just use any old English kettle for golden tea. I would need a Japanese kettle (the one thing I failed to buy when I went there... Grrr), but who wants a boring one of those? Not me. I got me a pop culture crazy one! Its got panels of all my favorite games and shows (apparently I supplied a rather long list...)
And to top it off, Pokemon Centre goodies and matcha marshmallows!
So, from the bottom of my heart, THANKS!
Now, time to try that gold tea...
Oh, and BMH, we're on to you. You matched us up cos our love of tea and Japan, right?

I'm glad you like it. I had to google what a biscornu was when you requested it.BooChocoBoom wrote: Thank you SO much, Hellfire! I had to actually go back to look at my info sheet to see that I requested a geeky biscornu (LOL).
I had fun designing and making it (my first time making one).
Decided I'm going to make myself one soon.
I couldn't decide what bracelet to make, so I made 4 different colour then did einee minee minee mo to choose which one to give you.

Re: Swap 2015!
I got my package from CitrusOda today and after much fighting to get more light in apartment managed to take an ok pic before hubby noticed the candy. I got a sailor moon cross stitch, dice <3 , green and pink beaded bracelets, licorice, caramels, chocolate macaroon tea, skyrim quest marker magnets, origami paper bookmarks, and legend of the 5 rings button pins. Just lovely. Thank you very much.

Re: Swap 2015!
I've been starting at the Track & Trace for days now because it wouldn't move on from a particular phase. I since found out that was because postal distribution centers over here are on strike. Fun! Anyway, it has moved on now and is, apparently, on it's way to be delivered - though it being Sunday, I assume this means it will be delivered tomorrow. We'll see!
I love seeing all the gifts everyone made! There are some absolutely amazing things here! Definitely borrowing some ideas from these...

Re: Swap 2015!
Yay! I am glad it got there safely. On the way home from the post office I realised that they didn't ask me about weather it was fragile this time. .. and I don't know how to say that in Japanese. Glad I used all that bubble wrap then!Lord Libidan wrote: Yeh, thats right, a rather beaten up package from Japan! (its all good though, it was just the box)
