Finished all the black. I'm really happy with how it's looking so far.

That looks great!
My brain has already been trying to think of games to stitch next year
So, mom's turning over her square to me in the meantime. It won't be done in time for this year's quilt, but next year's for sure!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2015
After looking at my finished square, I absolutely hate how it turned out. I have decided not to send it in due to how it turned out. Granted it hasn't been washed or ironed but I feel it is way too dark for it to look nice with the other squares.
Here it is again just so everyone can see what I'm talking about.

Um, is it just my phone refusing to display it, or did someone delete half the sign up list? I can see all the shading, but only about a third of the names etc.

It wasn't just your phone. I went ahead and restored the previous version since it's easy to do in Google Docs. Hope that's okay!Um, is it just my phone refusing to display it, or did someone delete half the sign up list? I can see all the shading, but only about a third of the names etc.

Re: Stitching for Charity 2015
I would encourage you to send it in Knittenkitten. You already spent the time on it and it's already finished. You say you hate it so I'm sure you wouldn't be upset if the quilt maker decided not to include it. But we haven't seen all the squares that will be included in this years quilt(s) so I don't think you can accurately predict that it will not look nice with the other squares. I can understand your frustration. Sometimes I look at my nearly completed square and think I did a great job on colour selection, other times I think it looks terrible. It's all subjective.Knittenkitten wrote:After looking at my finished square, I absolutely hate how it turned out. I have decided not to send it in due to how it turned out. Re: Stitching for Charity 2015
So, when I was making my pattern, I goofed and got the centre mark in the wrong place. By the time I noticed, it was too late to fix it. This means the top of my square has about 1cm less fabric than it should, will this be a problem? Sorry

How big is the space between the stitching and the end of the fabric?
