sawyerssnowflake wrote:Hey swappie. Had a bit of a setback this month. My aunt was just diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing chemo. So I've been taking care of her instead of stitching. I promise I will finish it soon tho! My uncle takes care of her on the weekends so I'm hoping I can finish it by the deadline or maybe a few weeks late. I'm sorry! I really am trying my hardest! Life hits ya like a ton of bricks sometimes
Sorry to hear that! Best wishes to your aunt (and you, of course)

According to the post office my package was delivered last week so I am hoping it is just a case of swappie being busy and not wrong address or anything

My package to my buddy arrived yesterday so I'm waiting for them to get it. I imagine it's just a busy thing. And/or if it's a group of mailboxes at an apartment or somewhere where it's not on your way in the front door, I imagine that would delay it (when I was in an apartment, I checked the mail maybe once per week). Give it to the end of the week and then PM BMH to PM your buddy, maybe?

Yep - do this. S/he may have just been busy, if I know her/him then that's probably it. If s/he hasn't said anything by the weekend I will most certainly drop them a PM to check up on it.

I got it last night, I love it, but I'm too tired to post pics! (reason to be revealed in another thread)
I will post pics by the weekend at the latest. Also the postman in Canada lies, my package often says "delivered" on online trackers, changes to "out for delivery" the next day, then "delivery delayed", etc. I live in a small city but apparently the world thinks I'm "remote" even though I could drive to the states in a few hours ... But I think hubby hadn't checked the mail since Thursday so maybe we're lazy???

Oh good! Congrats on that reason
They have generally been good for me, but they said it was delivered last Tuesday so they clearly lied to me *shakes fist at Canada Post*
Take your time, I was just worried with sending it way over there!
Fun fact: I have tried to make a wallet out of plastic canvas before but failed badly.

rbaron, if you like the anime, I would suggest looking for the manga because the anime doesn't finish the story. I'm glad you still use the treasure chest.
Thanks for the gifts, I love 'em.

The wallet had a note inside that it was bad luck to send an empty wallet, so there were a couple pesos in there. The compact has a cool blackwork star on it. Each of my boys got a medallion from her cruise ship, and they're pretty jazzed about that! The baby has been wearing his all today. haha Everything is wonderful! Thank you so much, rbaron!
