Hello all! I was just curious on what the ratio of men to women that cross stitch are. I am a man, and I don't know of any others that cross stitch.

I think there's a way to post a poll? Not sure how though.

Maybe one of the more technical people of this forum could set that up...I would have no clue

I'm pretty sure we've covered this topic more than once! There are more females than males here but that doesn't mean that males are rare. There are plenty of them and some are high profile, such as johloh, LL and Servotron.

There was a topic somewhere about the community stats but I'm on my phone and can't seem to find it right now. However I'd be interested in finding out the current make up of the community, so I'll look at setting something up to do that. :)

You're definitely not the only male who stitches! As BMH said, definitely more females than males, but there's still a decent amount of us!

I'm a girl, but my toddler is interested and he's definitely a boy lol I will be teaching him when he can wield scissors on his own :)

I'm a female and I cross stitch. One of my friends who I basically call my big brother used to cross stitch but he doesn't as much anymore, but it works out for me bc he's giving me all the stuff he has lol. On of my really good friends that I used to work with he wants me to teach him. So it's more females but its definitely anyone can do it.
